BAUMANNFLEX
High torque and excellent flexibility in a compact size thanks to three-layer coil construction
These couplings connect a hub that mounts on the shaft to another hub, separated by a metal coil. They achieve excellent flexibility, compact size, and high torque. There are three models: BAUMANN MINI FLEX, which has a relatively small rated torque, BAUMANNFLEX MM, which couples one shaft to another, and BAUMANNFLEX MF, which couples shafts to flanges and the like.
Our line-up includes the relatively low nominal torque of the ZG and LM models, which have excellent flexibility. The long type of the LM model (the LM-1 type) allows a particularly large angle of deflection of up to 14°. The ZG model uses a zinc alloy as the hub material and spring-steel square wire for the coil spring; the LM model uses an aluminum alloy as the hub material and stainless-steel round wire for the coil spring. Select the type suited to your usage environment.

The three-layer construction of the metal coil spring component enables high torque transmission to be achieved in a compact form factor.A type that uses SUM24L-equivalent material as the hub material and piano wire for the coil spring (the MM-K type) and a type that uses stainless steel for the hub and coil spring to boost corrosion resistance (the MM-K-S type) are available. Select the type suited to your usage environment.

By using flange construction for the hub on one side of a BAUMANN FLEX MM model, which uses a three-layer construction for the metal coil spring component to enable high torque transmission in a compact form factor, a wider range of needs can be satisfied.Like the the MM-K type of BAUMANN FLEX, SUM24L-equivalent material is used as the hub material and piano wire for the coil spring.
