DATASENSOR announces the 4.0 version of SCS1. The new software release presents many new elements
which further enhance the application possibilities of the smart camera. SCS1 reconfirms itself as the
one-for-all solution for the typical machine vision applications offering the best performances available
today on the market.

NEW FUNCTIONS
Contour Match Locator The contour match locator is ideal for objects that can be easily distinguished from their background. It can accurately identify the position and orientation of mechanical parts, screws, handles, packages, bottles, etc …

Circle Locator
The circle locator is especially suitable for the position measurement of holes, balls and round objects in general. The algorithm is not influenced by light variations and circle irregularity (e.g. metal burrs on edges).

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT KIT (SDK)
The SDK kit manages the communication with the SCS1 and consequently it allows software applications to dialogue with the smart camera.
The SDK allows the user to access to nearly all the functions available on the sensor. The user can connect to a camera for example, change the current inspection, access the configuration parameters, download images, send strings, receive inspection information and a lot more!

SOFTWARE MONITOR
The software monitor (freeware available on www.vision-sensors-illuminators.com) is an application especially developed to allow the user to interact with SCS1.
The simple and intuitive interface enables the user to carry-out many different operations including: manage the communication with 8 smart cameras, visualise images, modify functioning parameters, change current inspections.
The SCS1 is particularly suitable for installation on industrial PCs equipped with touch-screen monitors thanks to the big icons and push-buttons of the graphics.

NEW OPTIONS
Operator rotation
The new 4.0 version of SCS1 allows the user to freely rotate all the tools. In this manner, the pattern match, blob analysis and contour controls can be applied to all objects independent from the rotation itself.

Maximum elaboration time
The possibility of specifying a maximum elaboration time allows the user to better control the sensor behaviour in presence of algorithm or inspection malfunctioning.

Parameter change during run mode
The configuration parameters can be changed during the run and test mode phases. The effect of a parameter change on the live images that return from the telecamera can be checked in every single instant.
